Recently, Iowa pastors gathered to hear my presentation in Des Moines on behalf of Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul. After listening to me, they then heard ten-term Republican Texas Congressman Ron Paul himself.
Consider how Congressman Paul’s message impacted Pastor Jim Hartman of the Assembly of God church in Conrad, Iowa. “I’ve been supporting Mike Huckabee, but I would say I’m leaning real strong toward Ron Paul.” Hartman supported President Bush four years ago and explained, “Up until the last six months I had not allowed myself to imagine that we’d been let down by Bush.” Continue reading »

Historians and British schoolchildren remember Guy Fawkes as the Roman Catholic, anti-Protestant rebel who on Nov. 5, 1605, tried to assassinate King James I by blowing up the Parliament. Supporters of the Republican primary campaign of the libertarian Representative Ron Paul may remember Fawkes as a wildly successful fund-raising gimmick.
Representative Ron Paul’s use of Guy Fawkes Day to encourage donations to his presidential campaign netted millions. Continue reading »

I am opening this article with my letter to Joel Stein:
Mr. Stein,
I am offended by your inability to write a story about Ron Paul that accurately reflects his honesty and a-political approach to public communications. His speeches would be reminiscent of Reagan’s, if Reagan had been honest about the Fed - a private corporation that has de-valued our currency beyond comprehension. None of the other candidates deny that- but they don’t talk about it either. Ron Paul is the only one. That is the financial or “geek” view, as the term you use to insult his supporters.
Dr. Paul openly talks about personal liberties (especially the ones we have recently lost) and the endless wars, which you fail to emphasize. Perhaps that is because the majority of Americans are against the un-winnable and illegal Iraq war and you don’t want anyone to identify with him as a candidate. Continue reading »

Even though Jeffersonian conservative presidential candidate Ron Paul has declared the media blackout of his candidacy is over, don’t tell that to the editors of the New York Post.
The “conservative” paper owned by Media Mogul Rupert Murdoch, has managed the feat of covering the Family Research Council’s recent “Values Voter” presidential debate, and ranking candidates according to their popularity with “values voters” without mentioning third-place finisher GOP presidential contender Ron Paul (R-Tex). Republican Presidential candidate Ron Paul has broken through to the top tier of Republican candidates running for president. He knows it, GOP voters know it, and as previously reported; media outlets are grudgingly admitting it.
Fox News, to their credit, has already started giving Paul more air coverage than before. Paul was a guest on Fox Business News yesterday. Continue reading »

About one thing Mike Huckabee is right (OK, maybe two): The presidential hopeful told Chris Matthews that if Republicans want to win the 2008 election, they must nominate a candidate who’ll appeal to as many independents and Democrats as possible. Dark horse Huckabee expressed the hope that he was the man.Wishful thinking aside, when it comes to Iraq, Huckabee and the rest of the Republican candidates for president, bar Ron Paul, are at odds with the American people. According to every conceivable poll – Gallup, Rasmussen, ABC News/Washington Post – most Americans now oppose the war in Iraq, deem it a mistake and “support the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq within the next year.” Continue reading »

It is not enough that seemingly every state that can is desperately moving up primary contest dates to as close to January 1, 2008 as possible in the hopes of derailing the momentum that presidential candidate Ron Paul (R-Tex) will derive from a good New Hampshire finish. Now the GOP in many states has apparently taken to shutting down the possibility that Independents or Democrats can vote for Ron Paul in the GOP primary. Continue reading »
