Saint John Hunt, son of E. Howard Hunt, appeared on the nationally syndicated Coast to Coast AM radio show on Saturday night to discuss the revelations contained in the tape.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer announced today that federal hate crime bill H.R. 1592 is tentatively scheduled for a vote Thursday, May 3. This, appropriately, is the National Day of Prayer.

Democrats control the House. A wide majority, which includes many Republicans, favors the bill. Without overwhelming pressure from the American people, this Orwellian legislation is certain to pass.

Feisty Republicans Resist Hate Bill

There is some hope. This week Republicans showed astonishing and plucky resistance to the hate bill in the House Judiciary Committee. For the past two days, Republican members of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and the full Judiciary Committee doggedly argued against H.R. 1592. I’ve had enough of it.

Ninnying fatuous self-important morons who demand that everyone else make sacrifices in the name of mother earth while they zoom around in CO2 belching private jets and lavish themselves in heated swimming pools are hypocrites but perhaps we should be grateful that their frothing absurdities are causing the man-made global warming cult to lose whatever credibility it has left.

Last week, singer Sheryl Crow demanded that we all use one square of toilet paper per bathroom visit to help save the planet. Shortly after these ridiculous comments, the Smoking Gun website uncovered documents showing Crow’s touring requirements, which include three tractor trailers, four buses and six cars. Iran’s nuclear programme is facing such severe technical difficulties that it could take four years to produce enough weapons-grade uranium for one bomb and eight years to deploy an operational nuclear weapon, experts say.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s announcement on April 9 that uranium enrichment on an “industrial scale” had begun was “misleading” and the time-scale for success is likely to be longer than early estimates suggested.

“It’s very difficult to enrich uranium,” said Norman Dombey, emeritus professor of theoretical physics at Sussex University. “It calls for several different scientific and engineering disciplines. Iran hasn’t yet shown that it has mastered the problem.”

In February, via an internal memo, the Carlyle Group said they see another 12 to 24-months or more of “excess liquidity,” which will drive further profits and growth and that the current liquidity environment cannot go on forever; and, that the longer it lasts the more money our investors will make; but also that the longer it lasts, the worse it will be when it ends”

In the missive it was stated that Carlyle’s fabulous profits were not solely a function of their investment genius, but have resulted in large part from a great market and the availability of enormous amounts of cheap debt. In fact, there has been and is so much liquidity in the world financial system that lenders, even their own lenders, are making very risky credit decisions. This sea of money and credit has allowed deals to be done that could never have been done otherwise. Continue reading »
